3 juin 1884 - Convention entre l'Ethiopie, l'Egypte et l'Angleterre
Her Majesty the Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, Empress of India, and His Majesty Johannis made by the Almighty King of Sion, Negoosa Negust of Ethiopia and its Dependencies, and His Highness Mahomed Tewfik, Khedive of Egypt, being desirous of settling the differences which exist between the said Johannis Negoosa Negust of Ethiopia and Mahomed Tewfik, Khedive of Egypt, and of establishing an everlasting peace between them, have agreed to conclude a Treaty for this purpose, which shall be binding on themselves, their heirs, and successors; and Her Majesty the Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, Empress of India, having appointed as Her representative Rear-Admiral Sir William Hewett, Commander-in-Chief of Her Majesty’s ships of war in the East Indies, and His Majesty the Negoosa Negust of Ethiopia acting on his own behalf, and His Highness the Khedive of Egypt, having appointed as His representative His Excellency Mason Bey, Governor of Massowah, they have agreed upon and concluded the following articles :
Art. 1 - Free transit for all goods through Massowah to and from Abyssinia. Art. 2 - On and after the 1st day of Septembre, 1884, corresponding to yhe 8th day of Maskarram, 1877, the country called Bogos shall be restored to His Majesty the Negoosa Negust; and when the troops of His Highness the Khedive shall have left the garrisons of Kassala, Amebib, and Sanhit, the buildings in the Bogos country, which now belongs th His Highness the Khedive, together with all the stores and munitions of war which shall then remain in the said buildings, shall be delivred to and become the property of His Majesty the Negoosa Negust. Art. 3 - Withdrawal of troops of Khedive from Kassala, Amedib and Sanhit. Art. 4 - Appointment of Aboonas for Ethiopia by the Negoosa Negust. Art. 5 - Extradition of Criminals. Art. 6 - His Majesty the Negoosa Negust agrees to refer all differences with His Highness the Khedive which may arise, after the signing of this Treaty to Her Britannic Majesty for settlement. Art. 7 - Ratifications.

ክብርት ወልእልት የሆኑ ንግሥት ቢክቶርያ አንድነት የሆኑ የታላቅ ብሪታንያና የአየርላንድ ንግሥት የህንድኪ ቂሳችድት ደግሞ ክቡር ልዑል የሆኑ ስዩመ እግዚአብሔር አጼ ዮሐንስ ንጉሠ ጽዮን ንጉሠ ነገሥት ዘኢትዮጵያ ወኩሉ አጽያሚሃ ደግሞ ክቡር የሆኑ መሐመድ ተውፊክ ባሻ የምስር ኪዲዊ በኢትዮጵያና በምስር ያለውን ጠብ ለማራቅ ፈቅደው ውል አደረጉ ቃል ኪዳን ሊገቡ ተስማሙ በእነዝደያ በወራሾቻቸው በተከታዮቻቸውም ዘንድ በእምነት የሚጠበቅ ክብርት ልእልት የሆኑ ንግሥት ቢክቶርያና አንድነት የሆኑ ታላቅ ብርታንያና የአደልረንድ መንግሥት ንግሥት የህንደኪ ቂሳችደት ፌር አድሚራል ሲር ውሴም ሕይወት የጦር መራከብ አለቆች ራስ በሕንድ አገር ምስለኔአቸው ክቡር ልዑል የሆኑ ሥዩመ እግዚአብሔር አጼ ዮሐንስ ንጉሠ ነገሥት ዘኢትዮጵያ ወኩሉ አድያሚሃ ባለብታቸው ደግሞ ክቡር የሆኑ የምስር ኪዲዊ ሚስ ቤደን የመጣውን ሹም ምስለኔ አድርገው እለዚህን የሚከተሉትን ቃላት ሊአጸኑ ተስማሙ ፊተኛ ቃል አስኔ መባቻ ጀምሮ በ፲ወ፰፻፸ወ፮ ዓመተ ምሕረት በኢትዮጵያ ቁጥር በእንግሊዝ ቁጥር እመ ፯ ልጁን በ፲ወ፰፻፹ወ፬ ዓመተ ምሕረት በምጥዋ በር የሚወጣና የሚገባ እቃ ሁሉ የነጋዴም እቃ ቢሆን የጦር መሳርያም ቢሆን ከግብር ነጻ ይሆናል በእንግሊዝ ጠባቂነት ፪ ከመስከረም መባቻ ጀምሮ በ፲ወ፰፻፸ወ፯ ዓመተ ምሕረት በኢትዮጵያ ቁጥር በእንግሊዝ ቁጥር በ፲ወ፰፹ወ፬ ዓመተ ምሕረት በጎሳ የሚባለው አገር ለጃንሆይ ለንጉሠ ነገሥት ደመለስ አል የምስር ኪዲዊ ወታደሮችም ከሰላን አመዲብን ስሃሒትን ለቀው ሲመጡ በሞዶስ ደሉት የኬዲዊ ቤቶች እቆች የጦር መሳርያቸውም ሁሉ በእዊህ ሰፍርች የሚቀር ለጃንሆይ ይሁን ፫ ጃንሆይ ንግሠ ነገሥት በከሰላ በአመዲብ በሰንሔት ያሉት የኪዲዊ ወታደሮች ምጥዋ ሲመለሱ ረድተው በኢትዮጵያ በደህና አሳልፈው ሊሰዱአቸው ተስማሙ ፬የምስር ኪዲዊ ለጃንሆይ ሰንጉሠ ነገሥት ይፈቅዳሉ ጳጳሳቱን ወደኢትዮጵያ ለመስደድ ፭ ጃንሆይ ንጉሠ ነገሥትና የምስር ኪዲዊ ቅጣፋ ሲርተው ካንዳቸው ግዛት ወደአንዳቸው ግዛት የሚሸሹ በደለኛና በደለኞችን አሳልፈው ሲሰጣጡ ተስማሙ ፯ ይህ ቃል ኪዳን ከታተመ በኋላ በኢትዮጵያ ንጉሠ ነገሥት ና በምስር ክዳዊ መካከል ጠብ ቢነሣ ለእንፃልጣር ንግሥት ሊነግሩ ሲአሰሙ ውል አደረጉ ፯ ይህ ቃል ኪዳን ወረቀት በታላቅ ብርታንያና በአየርላንድ ንግሥት በህንደኪ ቄሳርደት ደግሞ በምስር ከዳዊ ዝንድ ታይቶ ታትሞ ቶሎ ይመለሳል ለዚህም ምስክርነት ፊር አድሚራል ሰር ውሊም ሕይወት የታላቅ ብርታንያን የየርላንድ ንግሥት የህንደኬ ቄሳር ደት ምስልኔ ሁኖ ጃንሆይም ንግሠ ነገሥት ባለቤታቸው ክቡር ሚስን ቢደን የምስር ከዳዊ ምስለኔ ሁልንው ይህን ቃል ኪዳን በየማኅተማቸው አተሙ አደኑ እመ ፩ ለሰኔ በ፲ወ፰፻፸ወ፮ ዓመት ምሕረት በኢትዮጵያ ቁጥር በእንግሊዝ ቁጥር ሪመ ካሉ ለጁን በ፬ወ፰፻፹ወ፬ ዓመት ምሕረት Ratifié par la reine Victoria le 4/7/1884, et par le khédive le 25/9/1884.
